The destination
Oman is the Middle East's most satisfying adventure destination — a country of dramatic contrasts where limestone mountains plunge into clear fjord-like khors, ancient falaj irrigation channels cross desert valleys, and a deep hospitality culture makes every interaction memorable.
The Musandam Peninsula is the headline: jagged Hajar Mountains dropping straight into the Strait of Hormuz, creating inlets accessible only by traditional dhow. Schools of dolphins follow the boats through the khors; the water is clear enough to snorkel directly from the deck. The landscape is genuinely unlike anything else in the region.
The mainland completes the picture: Muscat's immaculate Grand Mosque and Mutrah Souk, the Wahiba Sands for a desert camp night, and Nizwa's Friday market. Oman rewards moving — each valley and coast has its own character.
